1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE This Cookie Policy (“Policy”) describes the cookies and similar tracking technologies used on the website www.siskon.ro (“Website”) operated by Siskon Software & Automation S.R.L. (“SiskonRO” or the “Company”) . It has been prepared in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679, “GDPR”), Romanian Law no. 190/2018 on measures for the application of GDPR, and Romanian Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector. This Policy is a complementary part of SiskonRO's Privacy Policy and should be read together with it.

2. WHAT IS A COOKIE? Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, mobile phone) through your browser when you visit. Cookies are used to maintain your session, remember your language and display preferences, ensure website security and performance, and analyse usage.

5. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS Due to the integration of third-party services on our Website (Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insight, social media plugins, etc.), the relevant providers may place their own cookies on your device. Data collected through these cookies is processed by the providers' infrastructure and is subject to their respective privacy policies. A significant portion of third-party services have servers located outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers are made by relying on appropriate safeguards under GDPR Articles 44-46: (i) European Commission adequacy decisions where available, (ii) Standard Contractual Clauses (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914), or (iii) Binding Corporate Rules. Where such safeguards are not in place, your explicit consent under GDPR Article 49(1)(a) is relied upon for cookie placement.

 

Important transparency notice — Hosting location: As of the effective date of this Policy, the technical infrastructure of www.siskon.ro is hosted in Türkiye (Istanbul, by Çizgi Telekomünikasyon A.Ş., AS34619). This means that cookie data, server access logs and form submissions transit through and may be temporarily stored on infrastructure located outside the European Economic Area. Türkiye is not currently subject to a European Commission adequacy decision under GDPR Article 45. The Company has implemented appropriate safeguards under GDPR Article 46 (including Standard Contractual Clauses with the hosting provider and supplementary technical and organisational measures). The Company is in the process of migrating www.siskon.ro to a hosting provider located within the European Economic Area; this transparency notice will be updated upon completion of the migration.

• Performance, functionality and targeting cookies: GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and Article 4(1) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004 — explicit, prior and informed consent.

Personal data collected through cookies is deleted when the cookie's retention period expires or when consent is withdrawn. Server access logs are retained for technical and security purposes for a maximum of 12 months unless a longer retention is required by law or legal proceedings.
